IITK Sandwich Board: Hampton Hot Spots

Hamptons Hot spots

It’s a summer Friday in New York, chances are you’re either reading this while you’re waiting for the Jitney, on the Jitney or killing time before you duck out of work to make the earlier Jitney. As New Yorkers flocked to their beachside bungalows, it comes as no surprise that the good food followed shortly thereafter. If its a weekend with the family, friends, boyfriends or girls, these are our favorite Hampton spots we visit if you can peel us off the beach. We’ll see y’all there…

I’m In The Kitchen Sandwich Board: Hampton’s Hot Spots

July 20, 2012

Dave’s Grill
A staple in the hamptons, this seafood is among the best on the island. It’s casual decor, beachy vibe and outdoor seating makes it the perfect waterfront restaurant.
IITK Pick: Lobster Roll
Montauk | 468 West Lake Drive | 631-668-9190

North Fork Table
With a New American menu highlight local ingredients, Chef Gerry Hayden (of Aureole) and pastry chef Claudia Fleming (of Gramercy Tavern) has secured a spot on most “Hampton’s Best” lists. Even better is the lunch truck parked out back that serves midday lobster rolls, hot dogs and more approachable fare.
IITK Pick: Anything off the lunch truck, Roasted Baby beets with Goat Cheese, Duck and Sea Bass.
Southold | 57225 Main Road | 631-765-0177

southfork kitchen
Chef Joe Isidori (of Nemo in South Beach) is the executive chef at this farmer-to-table restaurant that locally sources almost, if not, everything on their menu. With Isidori’s creativity and talent, and the freshest ingredients available, you can be sure that your food will be delicious. We love their concept and their food.
IITK Pick: Southfork Kitchen Clam Chowder, Gosman’s Dock Lobster Fra Diavlo, and Bernegat Light Soft Shell Crabs
Bridgehampton | 203 Sag Harbor Turnpike | 631-537-4700

Nick & Toni’s
No surprise here that Nick & Toni’s made our list. Yes, it’s well known, but there’s a reason for that- it’s consistently delicious. And the eye candy isn’t bad either!
IITK Picks: Diver Scallops with Roasted Baby Artichokes, Penne alla Vecchia Bettola and Watermelon Salad
East Hampton | 136 North Main St | 631-324-3550

Stone Creek Inn
When you want something classier, take a trip to East Quogue where you’ll find this delicious restaurant, with a seasonal menu of french mediterranean cuisine.
IITK Picks: Rack of Lamb with Mustard, Local Sea Bass, and Mini Lobster Eclairs.
East Quogue | 405 Montauk Highway | 631-653-6770

And we’ve been hearing great things about Bliss: A Montauk Kitchen from Fishbar’s Jennifer Meadows and can’t wait for Collicchio’s Topping Rose House.
