We stumbled upon this hilarious spoof for the promo video for the new iPhone 5 and it begs you to ask, what do you use your iPhone for? It implies that the majority of people use it solely to take photos of food. If you are reading this blog, you are most likely guilty for your over-sharing and caring about what and where you eat. At IITK, we get an indescribable surge of pleasure and pride from manipulating and posting photos of each plate in our 7 course meal at Torrisi Italian Specialties or sharing a glimpse into our latest food discovery in Brooklyn. Although some might call this bragging, we call it bragging rights and spreading the culinary wealth. No one can deny that they appreciate a re-tweet, like, heart or pin when they post a food photo. It makes you feel fuzzy, like you too could be a food stylist – hello dream job here I come!

But this parody brought to our attention that maybe we aren’t the only crazy ones out there getting high off of foie gras dipping sauces and parmesan foam. If over 1.5 MM people watched this video, there must be a plethora of foodies out there not ashamed in taking pictures at that dimly lit, exposed brick, no reservation, aforementioned basement restaurant.  You’re not alone, and we’ll see ya there with a glass of pinot in hand.
