The second best thing to salsa-ing your way through the Caribbean this summer is probably enjoying a fabulous mojito. …okay maybe not the second best, but a decent alternative. The sugar, citrus and mint are the perfect combination: depending on what you’re after, it can enhance the flavor of the rum or hide the bitter alcohol. Either way, NYC has got you covered.
Candela Candela – Though a chain, they have an irresistible mojito bar that’s worth a visit. Happy hour is every weekday from 4-7pm for extra economical enjoyment.
Havana Alma de Cuba – This is the place to get the classic mojito criollo: aged bacardi, sugar cane, fresh mint, and lime. All accompanied by solid Cuban food.
Ideya – Self proclaimed home of the mojito, and who are we to dispute? Their mojitos come in seven different flavors, featuring delicious tropical desserts. Plus they come in grande size!
